1. Overview
This test evaluates the effectiveness of washing machines and similar appliances in suppressing microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, and fungi), reducing allergens, and reducing odor-causing substances (chemical compounds) when operated under specified conditions.
Testing can be customized to meet the client’s requirements, including evaluation of the suppression of microorganisms adhering to laundry items placed in the washing machine and the suppression of microorganisms attached to the inner drum of the washing machine.

Examples of evaluation methods:
Laundry test: Microorganisms or allergens are applied to clothing or other textiles, and the residual levels before and after washing are compared to evaluate the reduction performance.
Drum test: Microorganisms or allergens are applied to the inner drum of the washing machine, and the residual levels before and after the cleaning process are compared to evaluate the suppression performance.
